Here is my wife’s cousin Keith, who came to stay with us recently, admiring an immaculate old car at the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire’s Steam and Vintage Gala, last Autumn.  This was held at the Cheltenham Racecourse Staion of the GWR, with train activity as well as the traction engines and classic and vintage vehicles on display.  We had a great afternoon going round looking at all the displays – there was plenty to see and admire.  It is amazing the hard work that so many owners put into restoring and maintaining their vehicles.  No wonder Keith is gazing fascinated and admiringly at this car.  Very little post production on this photo – I love the backlighting providing a kind of halo around Keith’s head!  I also like the composition with the car dominating the picture and Keith just kind of peering into the frame.  Taken with my Sony a350 and Tamron 17-50mm lens.  There is a small set of photos from the 2008 gala here on my flickr, and a larger set from the 2007 gala here.  DSC09724.
