My Church

My Church

January 19th, 2009

A very important part of my life is my Christian faith and therefore so is my church.   I am a member of a large church in the middle of town – around 1500 members and four services on a Sunday.  We have a building project to try to accommodate the ever growing numbers but as usual money is an issue.  So most of the life of the church is in “clusters” and small groups.  These usually meet in peoples’ homes and can vary in size from half a dozen people up to 50 to 100 for a large cluster.  There is also a healthy “kidz church” with 200 or so children, and a thriving youth work of various kinds with groups meeting practically every day of the week.  There are also outreach and caring projects – Alpha for enquirers, Tandem for single mums, things for older folk and meals for the homeless.  To mention everything would take too much space – Trinity Cheltenham is certainly a busy church.  The photo was taken with an Olympus point and shoot and edited in Aperture, Photoshop and Topaz Adjust.
