Blowing in the Wind

This shot was taken with my Tamron 200-500mm heavyweight, which made me feel rather self-conscious but is great for getting right in close for this kind of shot. The lens was wide open at f5.6 with my Sony a350 set at 400ISO. This girl was lined up on CCF parade but not in uniform for some reason. The breeze was creating havoc with her hair but it gives the picture a nice natural look to it. I have kept that look with the minimum of processing, just a bit of noise reduction and a bit of sharpening for the eyes. Everything else was great straight out of camera and any more sharpening would have made the strands of hair look too thick and given her freckles too much emphasis.
