This photo was taken by Jonathan at the Biennial Inspection of the School CCF and is a dramatic portrait of the RSM – in charge of all he sees.  An excellent photo which I have processed through Aperture and Photoshop, reducing noise, increasing sharpness and adjusting levels, as well as straightening and cropping.  I did have trouble with the RSM’s uniform jacket which the sharpening tended to make look as though it had been attacked by moths!  A little bit of masking and a soft blur brush improved things no end.  The main task was to get the faces to look right and I think I have achieved that, except that the RSM’s eyes could probably do with a little more sharpening.  More shots of CCF cadets on flickr here.
