Pretty in Pink

Pink is not quite the right description for the in-your-face brightness of these flowers.  They look simply gorgeous!  No Photoshop with these, just the usual crop and levels in iPhoto (before I moved to Aperture).  This shot was taken at Highnam House in Gloucestershire, last Spring, when the grounds were filled with the most brilliant blooms.  There were also sculptures and classic and vintage cars, as well as all sorts of other things to look at – including old people listening to the band play.  I’ll post one of those old folks soon!  More shots of Highnam House on my flickr.  Captured with a Sony H9 super zoom which I found excellent for close-ups like this.
