Roman Soldier

“Gloucester Through the Ages” was an event put on over a weekend in April 2008. It used several venues around the city and had some superb re-enactments. This Roman Soldier was part of the Ermine Street Guard who first appeared way back in 1972 and who are one of the most respected and looked up to reenactment groups in England. This shot has had the main character sharpened using a high pass filter, whilst the rest of the image has been treated with various adjustment layers to tone it down and allow the soldier to pop out from the cluttered background.
