Not the usual winter scene of church and cottage covered in snow – but the melting snow on a suburban housing estate.  This was taken just around the corner from where I live and has had the usual Aperture and Photoshop treatment, plus a bit of extra saturation and sharpening to bring out the superb sky and the wealth of detail in the foreground and middleground.  This was taken two days ago and fresh snow overnight sent me out again to get some more shots, but today the sky was completely overcast, so the feel of the photos was completely different.  I may post a few later on though.  Don’t forget there are more photos on my flickr and you might like to look at the small Spring 2009 collection and the Snow at School set.  DSC06733.
