Candid Teen Girls

Candid Teen Girls

March 22nd, 2009

I suppose that apart from taking portraits, the other thing I like doing is taking candid shots; that is, where the subject is not aware of the photographer, or has only just become aware so they have had no time to pose.  These girls would certainly have made more effort if they had known they were being photographed; maybe it’s the trendy teen look, but to me they look scruffy.  They are certainly pretty, but could make a lot more of themselves – and no doubt would, given a chance.  The trouble is, we’re not always given a chance to put on the mask of how we would like to look, and just get caught out!  Virtually no processing on this shot; it was taken with my 200-500 mm Tamron lens and my Sony a350.  A set of candid shots on flickr.  DSC08655
