Indian Girls

Last Autumn I visited India and stayed in Mumbai and a YMCA campsite in the lakes between Mumbai and Pune. On the camp were young people from several different areas – some from Mumbai and others from states across the north of India. I was amazed at their friendliness and encouraged by their enthusiasm. I was mainly shooting video, but this is one of the stills I took. The main problem was the high contrast between light and shade and dealing with noise in the shade areas, particularly indoors without flash. This shot has had levels adjusted, some increase in saturation and contrast, and some noise reduction. Here are some more shots from India on flickr. DSC01240
