Learning to Surf (2)

This was taken a couple of years ago in Encinitas, southern California – Moonlight Beach – using a Sony DSC-H9.  It’s a very good “super-zoom” camera but I do miss the flexibility of raw when I came to try to re-edit these older jpegs.  It’s much more difficult to get the processing the way you want it when using a jpeg compared to raw.  I’m really glad that all my more recent photos are in raw and that Aperture and Photoshop give me so much scope for post-processing.  So this is pretty well straight out of camera, just a little bit of levels in Photoshop Elements.  See more of my surfing photos here on flickr.  DSC02517
