I usually try to avoid blur in my photos, but in this one I was panning with the runner, hence the other players are blurred.  I really like the effect this gives of the one player being all important; the others hardly exist.  I also love his expression in this shot – full of determination and a certain exuberance, joy, in the achievement.  Taken with a Sony H9 and processed in iPhoto.  My most interesting people photos on flickr are here.  DSC09424
